How to Use /nickname for Purchased Ranks

Welcome to the guide on using the /nickname feature on ParaCube! If you have purchased a rank that includes the ability to set a custom nickname, this guide will walk you through everything you need to know to personalize your in-game name with colors, gradients, and more.

Step 1: Verify Your Eligibility

  1. Check Your Rank: Ensure you have purchased a rank that grants access to the /nickname feature.

  2. Visit the Webstore: If you’re unsure about your rank benefits, visit our webstore: ParaCube Webstore.

Step 2: Setting a Basic Nickname

  1. Open the chat in Minecraft and type the following command:

    /nickname [desired_name]

    Example:

    /nickname CoolPlayer
  2. Press Enter, and your nickname will now appear above your character and in the chat.

Note: Nicknames are case-sensitive and should follow server rules.

Step 3: Adding Colors to Your Nickname

  1. Minecraft Color Codes: Use the & symbol followed by a code to apply colors to your nickname.

    • Example color codes:

      • &a: Green

      • &b: Aqua

      • &c: Red

      • &e: Yellow

      • &f: White

  2. To apply colors, modify your command like this:

    /nickname &aCool&bPlayer
  3. The result: Your nickname will appear as CoolPlayer, with "Cool" in green and "Player" in aqua.

Step 4: Creating Custom Gradients with RGB Colors

For an advanced and unique look, you can use RGB colors to create gradients.

  1. Visit the RGB Color Picker: Use the RGB Color Picker to find your desired colors.

  2. Select Your Colors: Choose your preferred colors and note their RGB hex codes (e.g., #FF5733 for orange).

  3. Apply RGB Colors: Use the following command to set your nickname with RGB colors:

    /nickname #FF5733CoolPlayer

This will display your nickname in orange.

  4. Create Gradients: Combine multiple RGB codes for a gradient effect:

    /nickname #FF5733Cool#33FF57Player

This applies orange to "Cool" and green to "Player."

Tips:

  • Experiment with color transitions to make your nickname stand out.

  • Preview your nickname by re-entering the chat after applying changes.

Step 5: Resetting Your Nickname

If you wish to revert your nickname to your default Minecraft username:

  1. Type the reset command:

    /nickname reset
  2. Press Enter to remove all customizations and restore your original name.
